New England Patriots lose hold on their undefeated season
In what will forever be known as one of the greatest upsets in NFL history, the now 18-1 New England Patriots fall to the New York Giants in Super Bowl 42 by a score of 17-14. Even amidst all the controversy of SpyGate, I was rooting for the patriots this season. Love them or hate them, they are undeniably a remarkably gifted team which is evident by all the records they’ve broken this year. This loss is surely going to haunt them during the off-season and for many years to come. I hope that next year they can make another run at the title and come away victorious. I think Tom Brady is truly one of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time and I would really like to see Wes Welker get a championship ring.
